Abstract
Un motor de flujo unidireccional de tipo U, de dos tiempos, incluye un bloque de cilindros, que forma primeros y segundos cilindros paralelos y una cámara de combustion comun que conecta el primer y segundo cilindros. Primer y segundo pistones se montan para movimiento lineal recíproco dentro del primer y segundo cilindros, respectivamente. La varilla de conexion se diseña para minimizar peso y longitud y el agujero interior del motor y recorrido se eligen, para minimizar la diferencia entre las distancias máxima y mínima del desplazamiento del pasador de piston, a fin de reducir vibraciones e incrementar el rendimiento del motor al mantener alta compresion del cigüeñal.
