Abstract
Se proporciona un dispositivo para interconectar extremos desnudos de dos o más fibras opticas que utiliza un receptáculo comun que tiene un elemento de sujecion de fibra en el que las superficies de leva para accionar el elemento, y por lo menos un tapon tienen un dedo de leva para acoplar una de las superficies de leva se localizan de manera que, cuando unicamente de sujecion oscila a un lado del paquete opuesto a una superficie de leva y permanece en el estado abierto, para cuando se accionan ambas superficies de leva, el elemento de sujecion es impulsado al estado cerrado. El tapon incluye un protector de fibra libre de deslizamiento dentro del alojamiento de tapon que abarca o circunda sustancialmente el extremo desnudo de la fibra cuando el alojamiento de tapon se retira del receptáculo, pero que se retrae cuando el alojamiento de tapon se inserta en el receptáculo para dirigir el extremo desnudo de la fibra hacia el tubo de guía. Un manguito de fibra desvía el extremo terminal de la fibra hacia el extremo delantero del tapon para colocar una condicion de precarga en el extremo desnudo de la fibra. El conectador es particularmente adecuado para instalaciones de ruptura y bisel. De manera preferible el receptáculo utiliza un elemento de sujecion novedoso que tiene dos miembros de placa con superficies en contacto con la fibra, por lo menos una de las superficies en contacto con la fibra tiene una ranura para recibir la fibra. Los bordes de las placas están alineados para mantenerse juntos con un resorte de tubo de empalme. Se proporciona por lo menos uno de los miembros de placa con una ranura para recibir alambre y un alambre en el mismo el cual actua como un fulcro para permitir que las placas giren a lo largo de un eje definido por el alambre. El resorte de tubo de division proporciona una carga controlada con precision a lo largo de los bordes de las placas, lo que permite que los extremos opuestos sean sujetados juntos (dentro del tubo de guía) por una fuerza suficiente para vencer la carga controlada del resorte de tubo de division.
