Deposito de alimentacion destinado a retener un metal fundido y especialmente un acero, cuyo deposito comprende un fondo refractario, unas paredes refractarias, al menos una tobera dispuesta en el fondo refractario para alimentar con metal fundido al menos una lingotera, un tampon refractario que comprende un fondo de tampon y un tabique sensiblementevertical que define una cavidad, estando el tampon dispuesto en el fondo del recipiente, por una parte, para recibir un chorro de metal fundido que proviene de una cuchara que es desplazada por encima de dicho deposito y, por otra parte, para asegurar una separacion de dicho deposito en dos espacios, un primer espacio que comprende al menos una tobera, y un segundo espacio, cavidad del tampon, que confia al metal fundido, cuyo metal se vierte seguidamente, por desbordamiento por encima del tabique, dentro del primer espacio, caracterizado porque el tampon cuyo tabique define el segundo espacio está dividido por una barrera en dos zonas, una zona que recibe el chorro de metal, y una zona de subida del metal, situada en el lugar opuesto al primer espacio con relacion al chorro.
