Abstract
Se describe un dispositivo de sonda espectroscopica, util para espectroscopias de Ramán, cercana al infrarojo, luminiscencia, ultravioleta o visible, que está formado con un método de construccion robusta utilizando una técnica de soldadura de metal fundido. El método y dispositivo descritos proveen una sonda optica que es fácil de fabricar pero capaz de soportar condiciones ambientales drásticas sin dañarse y produciendo resultados espectroscopicos utiles bajo tales condiciones. En una modalidad preferida de la presente invencion, la sonda optica (100) comprende un alojamiento (101), cerrado por la punta (102). Dos fibras opticas (103 y 104), una que funciona como un canal de excitacion para radiacion procedente de una fuente hacia una composicion a ser analizada, la otra comprendiendo un canal de acopio para radiacion de transmision procedente de la composicion irradiada hacia medios de deteccion remotamente ubicados, se extienden desde la superficie terminal (105) de la punta a lo largo de la longitud del alojamiento. Sobre la superficie terminal (105) de la punta (102) está formada una cavidad (106), la cual está rellenada con una soldadura de metal fundido que solidifica al enfriarse en un tapon soldante. Este tapon comprende medios para asegurar y sellar los extremos de la fibra optica en la superficie terminal de la punta de la sonda.
