Abstract

La presente invencion proporciona un método para detectar un polimorfismo genético en un individuo. En una forma el método comprenden las siguientes etapas: (1) obtener una muestra que contiene ácido nucleico del individuo; (2) la muestra del ácido nucleico de la etapa (1) por un proceso que implica termociclado e iniciadores, la amplificacion ocurre en la presencia de endonucleasa de restriccion termoestable, la cual retiene su actividad durante el termociclado, los iniciadores que son seleccionados de tal forma que ellos inducen ya sea en el ácido nucleico amplificado del ácido nucleico que no incluye el polimorfismo o del ácido nucleico que incluye el polimorfismo, una secuencia reconocida por la endonucleasa de restriccion termoestable; y (3) analizar el producto de la etapa (2) para determinar la presencia o ausencia del polimorfismo.
