Abstract
Se describen composiciones de recubrimientos deslizantes e hidrofilas de un intermedio aducto prepolimérico de poliuretano-urea mezclado con, al menos, un precursor polimérico de hidrogel distinto y materiales compuestos por un substrato plástico polimérico o de caucho o un substrato metálico con un recubrimiento de hidrogel deslizante de intermedio aducto prepolimérico de poliuretano-urea y al menos un hidrogel distinto sobre el mismo, tal que la composicion de recubrimiento se adhiere fuertemente al substrato. Las composiciones de recubrimiento y los materiales recubiertos no toxicos y biocompatibles y se adaptan idealmente para el uso en dispositivo médicos, en particular, catéters, balones de catéters y protesis estenoticas. Las composiciones de recubrimiento, materiales recubiertos y dispositivos recubiertos muestran bajos coeficientes de rozamiento en contacto con líquidos corporales, especialmente la sangre, así como un alto grado de resistencia al desgaste durante el uso prolongado del dispositivo. Los recubrimientos de hidrogel se pueden secar para facilitar el almacenamiento de los dispositivos a los cuales se han aplicado y se pueden reactivar instantáneamente para su uso posterior exponiéndolos al agua.
