Abstract

Se describe una red de ATM (modo de transferencia asíncrono) la cual recolecta datos de facturacion de conmutadores de ATM en una red de voz conmutada. Se produce un reporte completo, parcial o en resumen. Los conmutadores de ATM pueden estar en cualquier parte en la red. La red de ATM incluye los conmutadores de ATM, una unidad de recoleccion de datos y sistemas de facturacion. La unidad de recoleccion de datos recolecta datos pertinentes y emite los datos a un sistema de facturacion de AT&T o cualquier otro sistema de facturacion deseado. Debido a que los sistemas de ATM utilizan celdas para llevar informacion, el sistema es más rápido y más eficiente que los sistemas de TDM. Además, la salida del sistema de recoleccion de datos es dirigida por la tabla y se puede definir para coincidir con las entradas necesarias de los sistemas de facturacion de TDM sin incrementar el esfuerzo o los gastos.
