Abstract
Un dispositivo de prueba mejorado de alternador/arrancador incluye un regulador electronico de voltaje (ER) para regular la salida de un alternador regulado externamente (A1). Un interruptor de carga seleccionable (SW4) permite que los llamados alternadores de "alta salida" se prueben sin dañar al regulador de voltaje. Para ciertos tipos de alternadores regulados internamente, el dispositivo de prueba incluye un circuito de conexion del medidor, acoplado con un interruptor de "energizado" del dispositivo de prueba, que opera o funciona para detectar al medidor de prueba (M1) durante un periodo en el que el interruptor de energizado (SW8) es temporalmente oprimido para suministrarse energía a un alternador internamente regulado (A1) que se está probando, evitando de esta manera la alteracion de los resultados de prueba si se prueba un alternador defectuoso. Los cortacircuitos térmicos internos (CB1, CB2, CB3) se proporcionan en ubicaciones estratégicas en el dispositivo de prueba para evitar el daño al circuito interno debido a alternadores y arrancadores defectuosos. Un circuito de temporizador de apagado retardado (TM1; Figura 2) desconecta la energía del arrancador (ST) que está a prueba, después de un periodo de tiempo predeterminado con el fin de evitar daño al arrancador debido a un probado excesivo.
