Abstract

Un método para tratar materiales proteináceos que contienen enlaces de disulfuro o polisulfuro para mejorar su rendimiento a una humedad relativa alta y cuando se hacen por vía humeda. Una modalidad adicional de la invencion comprende recocer la tela a una temperatura en la escala desde aproximadamente 70 degree C hasta 160 degree C a una recuperacion de entre 10% y 25% para un período mayor a 10 minutos en donde la tela ha sido tratada por lo menos en parte con un líquido que mejora la reaccion de intercambio de disulfuro. El presente método es particularmente aplicable para materiales queratinosos tales como por ejemplo lana, lana con cristalinidad reducida, tela de angora, proteína regenerada o mezclas de los mismos.
