Abstract
Un proceso para producir sulfato de potasio, sulfato de sodio y cloruro de sodio a partir de potasa y una fuente de sulfato de sodio/agua, en donde la potasa (12), el sulfato de sodio (14), la suspension (34) proveniente de la etapa de recuperacion y la salmuera (18) proveniente de la etapa de descomposicion de glaserita (20), se introducen a una primera etapa (10), en donde el sulfato de sodio y la potasa se disuelven, de manera que la glaserita se precipita. La suspension se concentra y se administra (22) a la etapa de descomposicion de glaserita (20) junto con el agua (24). La potasa se introduce directamente (8) y/o mediante la corriente (22) mediante la introduccion de la potasa en exceso hacia la etapa (10). Los solidos de sulfato de potasio se separan, se lavan y se secan para dar un producto de sulfato de potasio (27), el licor madre (18) que se retira del reactor regresa a la etapa de produccion de glaserita (10). La salmuera (26) producida en la produccion de glaserita (10) se evapora en una cristalizador por evaporacion (28), el retiro de agua (30) produce la sobresaturacion del cloruro de sodio, que precipita de la solucion.
