Abstract
Un reactor para el tratamiento de un líquido, que tiene una cámara que contiene a un lecho absorbente. Una entrada está ubicada en la porcion superior de la cámara para introducir a intervalos regulares un volumen dado del líquido que será tratado. La cámara también tiene una salida ubicada en su porcion inferior para retirar al líquido tratado. El lecho absorbentes consiste de un empaque poroso capas de absorber por capilaridad un líquido introducido dentro de la cámara. Por lo menos un miembro de separacion que está montado horizontalmente dentro de la cámara con el fin de dividir al lecho absorbente en por lo menos dos capas sobrepuestas de una altura dada. Este miembro es permeable al líquido que será tratado pero está diseñado para provocar por lo menos una ruptura en la capilaridad dentro de la cámara. La altura de cada capa se calcula como una funcion de la altura que el líquido alcanza por accion capilar, cuando se alimenta en una columna llena con una capa continua del mismo lecho absorbente. Este reactor no es de manufactura y uso costosos. El tiempo de tratamiento es fácilmente controlable con la capilaridad del empaque poroso y gracias a la presencia de los miembros de separacion. Por lo tanto, el reactor pude utilizarse con una eficiencia máxima.
