Abstract

In the constitution of a device, fillers are provided in multiple stages in a deodorizing column main body with an introduction opening for odorous gas on its lower section and an exhaust opening for treated gas on its upper section, a circulating tank is provided on the lower section of the deodorizing column main body, and water spray sections for circulating liquid fed from the circulating tank by using a pump are provided above the fillers in respective stages. In that case, a filter on the upper stage placed on a support plate is pumice containing eluting silica, while a filler on the lower stage placed on a support plate is a solidified filter medium composed of pumice powder containing the eluting silica component impregnated with elute of a soil formed body composed mainly of a rotten plant or the rotten plant itself.
