Abstract
Un dispositivo electromecánico que alinea automáticamente un transmisor láser sujeto con pernos a la caja de un rifle para que sea posteriormente usado por un soldado en simulacros de guerra. Un cajon hueco rectangular está horizontalmente orientado, y una cubierta de extremo enbisagrada se abre hacia arriba para mostrar una pantalla LCD y un teclado de una unidad de control. Un soporte deslizable se extiende horizontalmente desde una unidad base hacia dentro del cajon. El cañon del rifle esta soportado por un apoyo montado en la unidad base y el guardamonte o receptáculo del peine está montado en un tornillo sobre el soporte. El tornillo tiene perillas para ajustar el azimuth y la elevacion del arma, lo cual permite al soldado apuntar a una imagen de un blanco reticular. Una unidad optica está montada en una porcion adelantada de la unidad base e incluye un lente y un divisor de haces que es transparente a la luz infrarroja del transmisor láser pero que refleja la luz visible. El blanco reticular iluminado se monta dentro de la unidad optica debajo del eje del haz de luz láser. El divisor de haces está colocado delante del lente y tiene un ángulo de cuarenta y ocho grados para así proyectar al infinito la imagen del blanco reticular a través del lente. Un detector de posicion que está en la unidad optica recibe el haz de luz láser y genera una señal de error representativa de un desplazamiento entre un punto recibido del haz de luz láser y la imagen del blanco reticular. La unidad de control tiene un circuito que está conectado a un cabezal de alineamiento que se acopla mecánicamente con el extremo posterior del transmisor láser unido con pernos al rifle. El circuito causa que el cabezal de alineamiento dispare de manera repetida el láser en el transmisor láser. Utilizando la señal de error, el circuito causa que el cabezal de alineamiento haga girar de manera independiente prismas triangulares en el transmisor láser para orientar el haz de luz láser en azimuth y elevacion hasta que el haz de luz láser queda substancialmente alienado con el visor del ánima del arma.
