Abstract
Un aparato para remover monomeros a partir de un polímero de olefina solido que contiene los monomeros que comprende un recipiente de purga que tiene ahusamiento en donde el recipiente tiene una relacion de altura a diámetro de fondo de 0.5:1 a 10:1 y las paredes tienen un ángulo ahusado basado en un eje vertical de 0.5 a 15 grados; un elemento de descarga de solido dispuesto en la porcion inferior del recipiente de purga; una tolva receptora de solidos; una entrada de solidos dispuesta en la tolva receptora; un elemento de alimentacion dispuesto en la tolva receptora en comunicacion con una entrada para alimentar solidos al recipiente de purga; un elemento de restriccion permeable el gas, impermeable a los solidos dispuestos debajo del elemento de alimentacion que define el límite superior de un lecho expandido de solidos, que define una cámara de recoleccion de gas entre la parte superior del recipiente de purga y el elemento de restriccion; un elemento de entrada de gas dispuesto en el recipiente de purga dentro o debajo de un lecho expandido de solidos; y un elemento de descarga de gas dispuesto en comunicacion con la cámara, y el procedimiento para remover los monomeros gaseosos no polimerizados a partir de una mezcla de polímero de olefina granulado, solido y el monomero que utiliza el aparato.
