Abstract
Se proporciona un método para preparar una composicion vítrea que contiene hierro ferroso. El método comprende fundir una carga de componentes que forman el vidrio incluyendo una fuente de hierro y refinar la masa fundida resultante. La fuente de hierro comprende un material que contiene fayalita. El vidrio puede producirse teniendo un elevado contenido ferroso asociado con un mayor nivel de absorcion de calor solar con mejorada transmision de luz visible como resultado del bajo contenido de hierro (III).
