Abstract

La presente invencion proporciona un método y un aparato para controlar el consumo de energía y el acceso a canales de teléfono (36) en un sistema de telefonía por cable (10). El sistema (10) tiene dos subsistemas para limitar la energía y el acceso, uno, cuando un teléfono (40) está esperando recibir una llamada y, un segundo; cuando un suscriptor desea hacer una llamada. El teléfono (40) normalmente está esperando la entrada de una llamada telefonica.
