Abstract
Aparato para producir arrabio fundido mediante reduccion directa de mineral de fierro, que comprende: i) un recipiente metalurgico (13, 14) en el cual con suministro de carbon y oxígeno el mineral de fierro sufre una reduccion final con produccion de un gas del proceso y este gas del proceso sufre una postcombustion parcial; y ii) un ciclon (12) de fusion en el cual el mineral de fierro sufre una prereduccion y se funde. Para mejorar el control de flujo térmico y reducir el mantenimiento, el recipiente tiene: a) una parte superior en la cual se realiza la postcombustion parcial del gas del proceso, en la forma de un sombrerete resistente a la presion que tiene una pared interior que comprende tubos para agua de enfriamiento; y b) una parte inferior para alojar un baño de fierro que tiene una capa de escoria en la cual se realiza la reduccion final del mineral de fierro, esta parte inferior tiene un forro refractario interno y medios para enfriar por agua el forro refractario interno.
