Abstract
Con el método y aparato de codificacion de señales de conformidad con la presente invencion, los componentes de ruido de los canales multiples se codifican individualmente mediante una primera unidad (124) de codificacion, mientras que los componentes de ruido de los canales multiples se codifican en comun mediante una segunda unidad (125) de codificacion. Una unidad (123) de discriminacion elimina las características de los componentes de ruido de los canales multiples. Basándose en los resultados de la discriminacion, se lleva a cabo la conmutacion selectiva entre una salida de la primera unidad (124) de codificacion y una salida de la segunda unidad (125) de codificacion. Si los componentes de ruido de los canales multiples se codifican en comun, la relacion de compresion para los componentes de ruido de los canales multiples se puede mejorar. Por otra parte, si los componentes de ruido de los canales multiples no se codifican en comun se consideran perjudiciales debido al manejo en comun.
