Abstract

Esta invencion se refiere a un dispositivo de sellado para sellar un cuerpo alargado como, por ejemplo, un cable, tubería o elemento umblical en su entrada en una abertura de un aparato como, por ejemplo, un tubo en forma de J submarino. El dispositivo de sellado consiste de dos partes o mitades sustancialmente idénticas que se unen mediante bisagras a lo largo de un eje sustancialmente paralelo al eje del cuerpo alargado; cada mitad comprende una parte de un centralizador, una parte de sellado y partes de tension capaces de oprimir el medio sellador para sellar por contacto contra el cuerpo alargado, contra la superficie interna del tubo en forma de J y contra el medio centralizador.
