Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema de transmisión de señal detelevisión, que comprende un multiplexor para combinar una señal de datosde video comprimida y una o más señales de datos auxiliares, para formaruna señal multiplejada (multiplexada) para transmisión en un canal deancho de banda fijo. El multiplexor se controla para variar la relación delos componentes que comprende la señal multiplejada (multiplexada), paraasegurar calidad de imagen satisfactoria reproducible, en respuesta a losdatos de señal de video comprimidos recibidos. Los datos de señal de videocomprimidos pueden ser sometidos a memoria intermedia antes de combinacióncon los datos auxiliares, en ese caso el multiplexor también se controlaadicionalmente para variar la relación de los componentes que comprende laseñal multiplejada (multiplexada) para mantener la carga de la memoriaintermedia a un nivel aceptable.
