Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a un receptor de llamada selectiva que recibe una señal de llamada selectiva (400) que comprende una señal de preámbulo (410). El receptor de llamada selectiva comprende circuitos receptores (102) para recibir y desmodular la señal de llamada selectiva (400). El procesador (114) provee la señal al circuito ahorrador de baterías (126) para activar y desactivar los circuitos receptores (102) durante la recepción de la señal de preámbulo (410) en respuesta a, y en forma subsecuente a, que el detector de preámbulo (105) detecte una porción de la señal de preámbulo (410).
