Abstract

Se exponen un aparato y un método para controlar vegetación, así como infestación de insectos, que tipicamente se encuentran en ambientes de agricultura. El aparato se caracteriza por su construcción para incluir una bomba de alta presión (26) mediante la cual un material de rociadura liquido puede aplicarse a la vegetación a una presión de desde aproximadamente 100 psi (7.03 kg/cm²) hasta tanto como aproximadamente 4,000 psi (281.2 kg/cm²). El aparato incluye además un calentador (34) mediante lo cual el material de rociadura liquido puede calentarse a una temperatura de desde aproximadamente 100° F (37.7 °C) a aproximadamente 240° F (115.5 °C) antes de que se rocié. El aparato se construye de manera que puede unirse a un tractor stándar (10) para facilidad de uso. El método de esta invención se caracteriza por su utilización de una rociadura a alta presión de manera que los agentes químicos de agricultura puedan utlizarse con eficacia en cantidades de prácticamente 0 a aproximadamente 50 de sus proporciones de dosis recomendadas actuales.
