Abstract

Una cosechadora de caña de azúcar de tallos enteros que despunta, corta, limpia y carga, constituida de un aparato móvil autopropulsado de varias ruedas que se mueven hacia adelante a través de una unidad motriz articulada para cosechar caña de azúcar verde de tallos enteros. El aparato comprende en combinación un medio para procesar dos hileras de caña desde 1.4 a 1.75 m. entre hileras y una alta capacidad desde 100 hasta 150 ton/hr. Lo anterior es posible debido a una garganta única de 2.6 m que abarca todo el ancho de la máquina con área de 2.2 m2. Se debe también a que el cuerpo de la cosechadora se localiza entre las ruedas y la cabina de la unidad motriz principal, y que cuenta con un gran almacén de caña limpia para incrementar el tiempo de cosecha sin interrupciones. El almacén es un recipiente de 9 ton. de descarga lateral alta, montado sobre un semirremolque especial, propulsado hidráulicamente y enganchado a la parte trasera de la unidad motriz.
