Abstract

La presente invención describe composiciones en estado sólido, de alta capacidad, que comprenden complejos de cianocobaltato, que son capaces de unirse química y reversiblemente al oxígeno, para eliminar selectivamente oxígeno de una corriente de fluido que contiene oxígeno. Los complejos de cianocobaltato que componen las composiciones comprenden un anión que contienen cobalto (II), que tiene de 3 a 5 ligandos cianuro, en donde al menos un modo de estiramiento de cianuro, medido por espectroscopía infrarroja, está entre 2074 cm-1 y 2140 cm-1. Adicionalmente, estos complejos tienen un catión que balancea la carga, que tiene un volumen molecular de mas de 40 A°3.
