Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a montajes de platos o bandejas, contubos verticales de descenso, para el catalizador, mejorados, para torresde contacto de vapor-líquido. Los tubos verticales de descenso estánconstruidos para recibir paquetes o haces del medio catalizador utilizadopara promover las reacciones químicas en los mismos. Regiones perforadas,elevadas, de los platos o bandejas subyacentes, son colocadas entoncesdebajo de las mismas, para mejorar la eficiencia de la transferencia demasa. Las regiones elevadas reducen la presión del fluido para ventear elexceso de vapor desde los tubos verticales de descenso y los platos obandejas debajo de los mismos. El vapor generado dentro de los tubosverticales de descenso a partir de la reacción catalítica, puede entoncesser dirigido selectivamente hacia el líquido descargado desde el tubovertical descendente colocado sobre el plato o bandeja de arriba, y se leimparte una característica de flujo horizontal. De esta manera, losvapores de la reacción catalítica pueden ser liberados efectivamente parafacilitar una configuración del flujo de vapor-líquido, estabilizada, conuna reacción química mejorada que ocurre o se presenta en el tubo verticalde descenso de la torre de proceso.
