Abstract

Se describe un método para variar el color en un material de cerámica vítrea que tiene una solución sólida de beta-cuarzo como la fase de cristal predominante que comprende controlar el nivel de A1203 entre 19 y 20 por ciento en peso, el nivel de Fe2O3 entre 700 y 900 ppm y el nivel de CO3O4 entre no más de 15 ppm y 140 ppm. Se obtiene un color ámbar con 20-40 ppm de CO3O4 y un color de vino tinto con 120-140 ppm de CO3O4. Se puede añadir CO3O4 en un vehículo adecuado al vidrio fundido como un aditivo para antehogar.
