Abstract

Una 3-fluoropiridina de la fórmula (I): (Ver fórmula I); en donde los símbolos tienen los siguientes significados: R1 y R2 independientemente entre sí, son, por ejemplo, H o alquiulo de cadena recta o ramificado, A1, A2, A3 y A4 son idénticos o diferentes y son, por ejemplo, 1,4-fenileno, pirazino-2,5-diilo o trans-1,4-ciclohexileno; M1, M2, M3 y M4 son idénticos o diferentes y son, por ejemplo, -0- o -CO-0-; R3, R4, R6 y R7, independientemente entre sí, son, pro ejemplo, H o alquilo de cadena recta o ramificada; M5 es, por ejemplo, -C-CO- o una ligadura simple; k, 1, m, n, o, p, q, y r son 0 ó 1, a condición de que la suma k+m+p+r se amenor que 4 y mayor que 0; puede ser empleada ventajosamente como un componente en mezclas de cristal líquido ferroeléctrico.
