Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A nematic liquid crystal mixture (i) consisting of at least two components and having positive dielectric anisotropy is compounded with a diester compound (ii) of formula I or II (wherein R1 is n-CmH2m+1; R2 is n-CgH2q+1, m and q are 1W10) such as a compound of formula III or IV, to obtain the titled liquid crystal material.
