Abstract

Un dispositivo catamenial comprende una hoja superior permeable a fluidos, que mira al cuerpo, una capa de barrera impermeable a los líquidos, y un cuerpo absorbente dispuesto entre la hoja superior y la capa de barrera, el cuerpo absorbente incorporando un material de hidrogel en partículas, insoluble en agua, a una carga de al menos 40g/m2 del área plana del cuerpo absorbente, el material hidrogel en partículas, insoluble en agua teniendo una resistencia de gel de al menos 0.38 kPa después de 5 minutos y no menos de 0.38kPa después de 30 minutos de exposición a una solución de orina sintética en la prueba AGEP modificada, un dispositivo que incorpora el material de hidrogel en partículas, insoluble, absorbiendo al menos 40g de sangre de ovejas en la Prueba de Almacenamiento de Capacidad Total.
