Abstract

Se da a conocer una composición de poliolefina que tiene una estabilidad oxidativa mejorada. Esta composición estabilizada comprende un homopolímero copolímero de estileno con un antioxidante fenólico obstruído que contiene un metal divalente y un desactivador de metal que tiene uno o más grupos de fenol obstruídos, enlazados a un grupo de hidrazo u oxamido. La composición de poliolefina estabilizada es útil para el aislamiento de alambres y cables y se caracteriza por una resistencia aumentada a la oxidación. La composición también retiene un alto grado de estabilidad oxidativa al exponerse a rellenos de cables que bloquean el agua. Una modalidad preferida de la composición incluye un tercer estabilizador del compuesto tretaquis (3(3',5'-di-t-butil-4'- hidroxifenil)-propionato) de pentaeritritilo.
