Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aglutinante de asfalto modificado con ácido combinado con una solución emulsificadora para producir un aglutinante de asfalto modificado. El aglutinante de asfalto modificado con ácido puede ser formado combinando un aglutinante de asfalto, un ácido a base de fósforo, y, opcionalmente, un modificador de polímero. La solución emulsificadora puede ser producida formando una solución acuosa de una amina y un ácido a base de fósforo, el cual forma una solución acuosa que comprende un fosfato de amina. El aglutinante de asfalto emulsificado puede ser combinado con un agregado para formar un material de pavimento. En otros ejemplos, el aglutinante de asfalto modificado puede ser usado solo, por ejemplo, en una aplicación de sello de fragmento, o en forma diluida, por ejemplo, en una aplicación de sello de bruma.
