Abstract
Se divulga un dispositivo, método y medios legibles por computador para determinar la adecuación de la resucitación cardiopulmonar (RCP)(. El dispositivo comprende un generador de fuente eléctrica, un sensor de señales eléctricas que recibe una señal desde el generador de fuente eléctrica y un microprocesador. El microprocesador determina los cambios en la impedancia del paciente en base a la señal recibida desde el sensor de señales eléctricas. El software que se ejecuta en el microprocesador determina al menos uno de volumen intratorácico , cambio de volumen intratorácico, frecuencia de comprensión, profundidad de compresión, volumen respiratorio y frecuencia respiratoria, basado en el cambio de la impedancia del paciente genera una señal que indica la adecuación de la ventilación y compresiones.
