Abstract

Terminal de punto de venta (POS) para ingresar un NIP para habilitar una transacción financiera, la cual comprende: - un lector de tarjetas para leer información de una tarjeta de crédito; - un procesador para ejecutar un sistema operativo, con aplicaciones; - una pantalla táctil para visualizar información y recibir entradas del usuario; - una caja de seguridad conectada entre la pantalla táctil y el procesador, para controlar la entrada del usuario en la pantalla táctil al procesador, en donde la caja de seguridad está configurada para funcionar en dos modos, "Modo de entrada de NIP" y "Modo de texto limpio", en donde al funcionar en el "Modo de entrada de NIP" la entrada del usuario no se reenvía como coordenadas al procesador y al funcionar en "Modo de texto limpio" las coordenadas de toque se transmiten a los procesadores.
