Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una prótesis endovascular. En otra modalidad de la prótesis endovascular de la presente, la porción de hoja retráctil está configurada de manera que un par de costillas unidas sobre lados opuestos de una configuración longitudinalmente recta de la porción de espina en un plano de vista normal a un eje central de la prótesis define una forma, en dos dimensiones, a través de la cual una línea recta puede ser traducida desde un lado hacia el otro lado de la forma con el fin de atravesar la forma solamente una vez en cada punto a lo largo de la forma. Las porciones de costilla de la prótesis endovascular de la presente pueden ser diseñadas con el fin de proporcionar una escala rotacional mejorada de colocación apropiada de la prótesis con respecto a la abertura del aneurisma. En una modalidad preferida, la escala rotacional puede ser de tanto como 45° o más. También se proporciona un método para suministrar una prótesis endovascular a una arteria bifurcada que puede ser logrado utilizando un alambre de guía individual y un dispositivo de suministro individual.
