Abstract

La presente invención pertenece a un dispositivo y método de procesamiento de imágenes que permite que grandes reducciones en la eficiencia de codificación se minimicen. Se proporcionan: una unidad de limitación que limita los valores de elementos de sintaxis que pertenecen al procesamiento entre imágenes cuando se realiza un proceso de codificación de acuerdo con un perfil para codificar imágenes fijas; y una unidad de transmisión que transmite los elementos de sintaxis, los valores de los cuales se han limitado por la unidad de limitación. Además se proporciona una unidad de codificación que utiliza los elementos de sintaxis limitados por la unidad de limitación para codificar datos de imagen y genera una corriente de bit. La unidad de transmisión además puede configurarse para transmitir la corriente de bits generada por la unidad de codificación. La presente invención puede aplicarse a un dispositivo de procesamiento de imágenes, por ejemplo.
