Abstract
Un sistema y método para permitir la implementación de un decodificador paralelo para diferentes vistas, incluso cuando existen dependencias entre las vistas. En varias modalidades de la presente invención, la información es señalizada a un decodificador de que son codificados los segmentos usando ciertas restricciones, de tal manera que es posible la decodificación paralela de segmentos. Esta señalización puede realizarse a un nivel de conjunto de parámetros de secuencias, o podría realizarse a un nivel de conjunto de parámetros de imágenes, a un nivel de encabezados de segmentos o a un nivel de encabezados de macrobloques. Adicionalmente, el retardo entre varias vistas también es señalizado al decodificador, en el mismo sitio que la información de restricción en varias modalidades. También pueden utilizarse varios algoritmos para mejorar la eficiencia de codificación del sistema.
