Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición nutricional que comprende una fuente de proteína, una fuente de lípido y una fuente de carbohidrato, en donde la fuente de lípido comprende al menos 16% en peso de ácido linoleico y al menos 2% en peso de ácido a-linolénico expresado como un porcentaje de contenido total de ácidos grasos en cada caso y la relación de ácido linoleico:ácido a-linolénico está en el rango desde 1 hasta 10, para usarse durante los primeros seis meses de vida de un infante humano para la reducción del riesgo de desarrollo de obesidad más tarde en la vida del infante.
