Abstract
La presente invención provee un sistema para impedir la adhesión de organismos en el agua a un sustrato en contacto con el agua, en donde el sustrato y el agua que fluye alrededor del sustrato forman conjuntamente una región tratada, que comprende un generador para producir una onda electromagnética que tiene una frecuencia variable en el tiempo, dicho generador tiene por lo menos dos terminales de salida, una de las cuales en conexión eléctrica con un primer sitio de excitación de la región tratada; un supresor de corriente de avalancha con una de sus terminales en conexión eléctrica con la otra de las salidas del generador y con su otra terminal conectada con un segundo sitio de excitación de la región tratada y una fuente de energía eléctrica conectada al generador para aplicar un voltaje seleccionado al generador, en donde el voltaje es aplicado de tal manera que el generador es activado para producir la onda electromagnética apta de inducir una corriente de avalancha en el agua y/o sobre la superficie del sustrato par someter a choque o exterminar los organismos. La invención también provee un método para impedir la adhesión de organismos en el agua a un sustrato en contacto con el agua.
