Abstract
Un sistema de radar homodino incluye un mezclador que emite una señal que tiene una frecuencia de salida del mezclador que es una diferencia en frecuencia entre dos señales de entrada. Cuando la diferencia en frecuencia es pequeña, el ruido de baja frecuencia puede enmascarar la señal real. Un desfasador variable se agrega a una de las entradas del mezclador para cambiar la fase a una velocidad predeterminada de cambio. El desfasador desplaza la frecuencia de la señal de entrada para que la frecuencia de salida del mezclador sea desplazada por la velocidad predeterminada. Las bajas frecuencias se asignan a frecuencias que están por encima de las frecuencias de ruido. El desplazamiento de fase se puede lograr mediante la adición de una fase constante a intervalos de tiempo predeterminados. Puede ser necesario aumentar la frecuencia de muestreo de la señal resultante para adaptarse a las frecuencias más altas.
