Abstract
Se describe un proceso para recuperación mejorada de agua deionizada a partir de una corriente de agua de alimentación, que comprende los pasos de: (i) entregar la corriente de agua de alimentación en una celda de deionización capacitiva; (ii) medir la concentración de sal del agua que sale de la celda de deionización capacitiva; (iii) recolectar el agua que sale de la celda, cuando la concentración de sal es menor que un punto de ajuste menor predeterminado, para preparar agua purificada o rechazar el agua que sale de la celda cuando la concentración de sal es mayor que un punto de ajuste superior predeterminado; en donde el agua que sale de la celda es reciclado con la corriente de agua de alimentación cuando la concentración de sal del agua que sale de la celda está entre el punto de ajuste menor y el punto de ajuste superior. Mediante este proceso, el agua de desecho producida durante la deionización capacitiva puede ser reciclada con el fin de mejorar la recuperación total de agua así como para intensificar la vida de los electrodos de la celda de deionización capacitiva.
