Abstract

Una consola de realidad virtual (VR) recibe datos de calibración lenta desde un dispositivo de procesamiento de imágenes, y datos de calibración rápida desde una unidad de medición inercial en un visor de realidad virtual (VR) que incluye un cuerpo rígido frontal y un cuerpo rígido trasero. Los datos de calibración lenta incluyen una imagen en donde solamente son visibles los localizadores en el cuerpo rígido trasero. Se determina una posición observada a partir de los datos de calibración lenta, y se determina una posición predicha a partir de los datos de calibración rápida. Si una diferencia entre la posición observada y la posición predicha es mayor que un valor umbral, la posición predicha se ajusta por un desfasamiento temporal hasta que la diferencia sea menor que el valor umbral. El desfasamiento temporal se remueve volviendo a calibrar el cuerpo rígido trasero con el cuerpo rígido frontal una vez que sean visibles los localizadores tanto en el cuerpo rígido frontal como en el cuerpo rígido trasero en una imagen en los datos de calibración lenta.
