Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a nuevas moléculas en una base de péptido-porfirina, con un bajo peso molecular (2000-5000 amu), opcionalmente en asociación covalente con biomoléculas, que son capaces de catalizar la peroxidación, oxidación, hidroxilación, nitración de fenol y reacciones de epoxidación de compuesto inerte, utilizando reactivos limpios tales como H202 en soluciones acuosas o de agua-alcohol, con eficiencia catalítica comparable o superior a esa de las enzimas naturales; los compuestos de acuerdo con la invención pueden utilizarse como catalizadores en la química fina, en el control y descontaminación de aguas y diagnósticos de laboratorio, y pueden ser unidos y/o adsorbidos en matrices sólidas o nanopartículas.
