Abstract

La presente invención es concerniente con compuestos representados por las siguientes fórmulas (I) y (II), (ver Fórmulas) el anillo A de las formulas I y II puede ser por ejemplo un gruo arilo y Q´ y Q´´´' pueden cada uno ser seleccionados independientemente de grupos tales como halógeno, -OH, -CN, grupos amina, grupos amida, grupos ester de ácido carboxílico, grupos ácido carboxílico, grupos alquenilo, grupos alquinilo, grupos carbonato, grupos sulfuro y grupos ester de ácido sulfónico. La presente invención también es concernjiente con composiciones fotocrómicas y artículos fotocrómicos que incluyen uno o más compuestos fotocrómicos, tales como los representados por la formula II.
