Abstract

La presente invención provee un aparato de autentificación operativo para determinar la autenticidad de una película polimérica, que comprende: un modificador de respuesta óptico operativo para modificar un primer efecto influenciado por tal característica de birrefringencia de tal para un primer efecto modificado; y una disposición para la medición de la birrefringencia ópticamente basada operativa para medir el primer efecto modificado; y en donde el aparato es operativo para: comparar un valor o intervalo de valores, representativos de tal primer efecto modificado según medido con un valor o intervalo de valores representativo de un primer efecto especificado como se modifica por el mismo modificador de respuesta óptico y correspondiente a una característica de birrefringencia predeterminada de una película polimérica auténtica; y dar salida a la señal de autenticidad indicativa de la autenticidad o por el contrario de tal película basada en tal comparación. También se proveen uno o más métodos para determinar la autenticidad de una película polimérica.
