Abstract
La presente invención provee un aparato de autentificación operativo para determinar la autenticidad de una película polimérica, que comprende una disposición para la medición de la birrefringencia ópticamente basada operativa para medir el primer efecto influenciado por una característica de birrefringencia de la película desde un primer ángulo que comprende un ángulo no normal al plano de la película, y al menos uno de: un segundo ángulo; y un tercer ángulo; en donde el aparato es operativo para: comparar un valor o intervalo de valores, representativo de tal primer efecto según medido de un primer ángulo con un valor o intervalo de valores representativo de un primer efecto especificado correspondiente a una característica de birrefringencia predeterminada de una película polimérica auténtica para tal primer ángulo; comparar un valor o intervalo de valores representativo de un primer efecto especificado correspondiente a una característica de birrefringencia predeterminada de una película polimérica auténtica para el segundo y/o tercero ángulos respectivos; y dar salida a una señal de autenticidad indicativa de la autenticidad o por el contrario de tal película basada en tales comparaciones. También se proveen uno o más métodos para determinar la autenticidad de una película polimérica.
