Abstract

Un éter de celulosa que tiene (i) uno o más sustituyentes seleccionados del grupo que consiste en metilo, hdiroxietilo y hidroxipropilo, (ii) uno o más sustituyentes hidrofóbicos, y (iii) uno o más sustituyentes catiónicos, amino terciarios o aniónicos, y que tiene una viscosidad dinámica retenida, %?80/25, de al menos el 30%, en donde %?80/25 = [viscosidad de solución dinámica en 80°C/viscosidad de solución dinámica en 25°C] x 100, la viscosidad de solución dinámica a una temperatura de 25°C y 80°C siendo medida como una solución acuosa al 1%, es útil para modificar la viscosidad de una composición seleccionada del grupo que consiste en fluidos de servicio a pozos, formulaciones cementosas, cerámicas, fluidos de operación con metal y fluidos de corte.
