Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un tapón de purga de gas (1) para soplar gas dentro de un recipiente metalúrgico que comprende: (a) un cuerpo alargado (2) hecho de un primer material refractario y que se extiende desde un primer extremo de entrada (2a) a un segundo extremo de salida (2b) sobre una distancia H medida a lo largo de un eje longitudinal central (X1) comprendiendo, (b) al menos una trayectoria de flujo de gas (3) que conecta de manera fluida una entrada de gas (3a) ubicada en dicho primer extremo de entrada de dicho cuerpo alargado a una salida de gas (3b) ubicada en el segundo extremo de salida opuesto; (c) un indicador de desgaste visual final (5) en la forma de un núcleo alargado que se extiende desde el primer extremo de entrada (2a) a una primera distancia h1 medida a lo largo del eje longitudinal central (X1), el cual es menor que la longitud H del cuerpo alargado h1<H, dicho indicador visual final está hecho de un segundo material refractario de diferente apariencia visual que el primer material refractario al menos a una temperatura comprendida entre 800 y 1500°C, caracterizado porque además comprende un indicador de desgaste visual intermedio (4) parcialmente incorporado en el indicador de desgaste visual final (5) y extendiéndose desde una distancia inicial h0, a una distancia final h2 desde el primer extremo de entrada (2a), en donde h0<h1<h2<H, y en donde el indicador de desgaste visual intermedio (4) está hecho de un tercer material permitiendo que se produzca una apariencia visual diferente que el primer y segundo materiales refractarios al menos a una temperatura comprendida entre 800 y 1500°C.
