Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a métodos para la prevención y/o tratamiento de algunas enfermedades gastrointestinales (GI), tales como la enfermedad de Johne (JD) en los animales y la enfermedad de Crohn (CD) en los humanos; la administración a los animales de ciertas bacterias probióticas, tales como las bacterias productoras de ácido láctico, ayuda a inhibir la infección GI causada por Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP); la MAP es el principal agente patógeno sospechoso de causar varias enfermedades inflamatorias del intestino en las reses o los humanos.
