Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un contenedor (101) que comprende un cuerpo (102) de plástico con una porción de cuello (103) que define una apertura, conectada a una porción (105) de hombro que se extiende hacia abajo y conecta a una pared lateral (106) que se extiende y une una porción (122) de fondo que forma una base (126), dicha pared lateral (106) que comprende más que dos paneles de vacío (107, 607, 707, 807, 108, 608, 708, 808), y que incluye paredes de transición verticales (109) dispuestas entre y unidas a dichos dos o más paneles, en donde dicho cuerpo (102) está adaptado para aumentar la contracción volumétrica y reducir la presión, y dichos paneles (107, 607, 707, 807, 108, 608, 708, 808) están adaptados para contraerse hacia adentro en respuesta a presión negativa interna creada durante el proceso de llenado en caliente y el enfriado subsecuente de un líquido caliente en dicho contenedor (101); y en donde por lo menos dos paneles de dichos más de dos paneles de vacío están adaptados para mayor ocupación de la presión negativa interna que otro de dichos paneles de vacío, además en donde por lo menos dos paneles son cóncavos verticalmente, dichos paneles están grabados con respecto a las paredes de transición horizontal superior e inferior; y en donde dicho segundo par de paneles incluye nervaduras horizontales; y además en donde dicho segundo par de paneles son cóncavos verticalmente.
