Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento mejorado para preparar gránulos de resina de poliéster vesiculados, que comprende las etapas de: agitar en agua una solución de una resina de poliéster insaturado en un monómero etilénicamente insaturado para formar una dispersión en el agua de glóbulos de la solución de resina de poliéster insaturado; y polimerizar la solución de resina de poliéster insaturada agregando a la dispersión un indicador de radical libre de la polimerización para obtener una lechada acuosa de gránulos de resina de poliéster vesiculados caracterizado en que: la resina de poliéster comprende de 2-50 por ciento por peso de cadenas de poli(óxido de etileno) de peso molecular promedio de 1000 a 10000 que sean solubles en el agua a la temperatura a la cual se eleva la dispersión acuosa durante la polimerización: y el monómero etilénicamente insaturado tiene una solubilidad en agua menor que el 5 por ciento por peso a una temperatura de 25°C.
